We want to make your company stand out, because first impressions count. Design, Development, Domains, and Hosting all have an effect on how people experience your site. Getting viewers to take action begins here.
We want to make your company stand out, because first impressions count. Our graphic designers can help you nail down what you want to say visually, whether you want a subtle design, or something that screams for attention. Something nobody ever thinks about is the design that goes into elegant code as well. Our code only helps to enhance the visual layout of your sites by working fast, and across all platforms. If you could see it, you'd be in awe.
Flexible, secure and innovative back end development makes your site tick. A business site doesn't help you if it doesn't make you money, an informational site doesn't work if viewers have to dig for the information, and non-profit and philanthropic websites are useless unless the purpose of the organization is clear and easy to get to. By coding the user experience to work from many angles, people will find what they need on your site fast and easily.
Believe it or not, your domain has a lot to do with your success with search engines, and who your domain is registered with matters as well. We have our favorites, but we always base our suggestions on the type of website you're developing. A CMS site needs a different approach than a standard website, and a blog is a different beast all together. We use the domain registrar that will help your specific site the most with SEO/SEM.
We’ll set up a hosting solution for you to give you peace of mind. Again, the type of site will define who we will suggest you work with since chances are you'll be with them for a long time. Some hosts prefer to deal with blogs and CMS systems, others prefer HTML/Java/CSS sites, and are built to boost the specific type of site for the best load times and stability. Most companies claim they do it all, but it's just not true, and our experience can help you find the host that will get the job done for you specifically.
Increasingly, people are viewing the web on a variety of devices – tablets, smartphones, and other mobile devices. If your website doesn’t support them then you could be missing out.
UC DeSIGNS doesn't build one website, then force it to fit mobile platforms with hacks and work-arounds, we design sites to stand out on mobile devices independently of the desktop sites. With over 70% of all sites being viewed on a phone or tablet the first time, it's important that your site be just as impressive on a 7 inch screen as a 27 inch screen.
Responsive websites are a must. Some viewers prefer to blow out their browsers for full screen viewing, some prefer to use their browsers as one of many windows open on their desktop. A site has to be responsive to fit all sizes without breaking the layout of the page, and altering the design in a negative way. You want your visitors to have a great visual experience regardless of how they're viewing your site.
e use the highest quality graphics so your visitors using Retina Displays can enjoy colors and depth like never before. We also build with alternate images so if you're not Retina ready, the lower resolution images load in their place, keeping your site lean and mean. Internet speeds are pretty fast across the board, so we design with quality and speed in mind.
This is a tough one, because it requires a lot of pre-planning as we design. The thought is that as you grow your customer base, and start raking in the cash, you're going to want to update and expand your site. With a flexible build, we leave room in the backend to add new content or update content quickly and easily. That keeps you nimble, and it keeps costs down when it's time to make the changes.
Everyone has their own process, and we're sure everyone thinks theirs is the best. We don't say ours is the best, but we do say that it works, and we have results to prove it.
Nothing happens until we sit down with your team and ours to discuss what your goals are. Do you want to feed information to people, do you want them to take action from your website, or do you want to sell your products as fast and easy as possible. You tell us what you want, we'll show you how we've done it before, and we start taking notes. We can meet once, or twenty times, it's up to you. We just want to get the job done the way you want it, and we'll do whatever it takes to get that done.
Our designers are great, just look at the previous work, they're also just fun to hang out with. Our artists crack me up, but their ability to convey ideas and emotions through graphics has always impressed me, and I still enjoy seeing what they come up with on every project. Once the design is down, and the coding behind it is in place, we test, then we test again, then we have you test, then we test again. We don't like websites that have problems, so we don't build any of those, and that's why we test over and over until we know it's solid, and you trust it to do the job you hired us for.
This is a UC DeSIGNS term that we came up with that is literally us going out and asking people who are not designers, coders, or involved with website design, to see what they think of your soft-launched site (the live site before you go public with it). We know code, graphics, and marketing, but we see the value in the opinion of the average person, and often times, their input leads us to solutions and options that we didn't see during the design and discussion phases. Plus, it's just fun.
The thing that keeps the passion going for us is taking a blank page, loading it up with code and graphics, then launching it and watching the world take notice, but it doesn't end there. If you want, we will service the site for you, update it, maintain it, check it for load speeds and broken links for as long as you like. We build the sites, we take care of them like they're our own, because they are, and we can SEO/SEM sites to ensure you are found, and you make money. UC DeSIGNS is the complete package, and our team is happy to do it all, we actually enjoy all the stuff that scares most people about their websites.
